Propane Upgrade

Delivery and Energy Programs
When purchasing propane from your chosen supplier for the first time, you may be expected to select a delivery and an energy program for the season. The delivery program determines how often the supplier will fill your propane tank. The energy program sets the pricing for the propane. Discuss the size of your propane tank and your fueling needs with your supplier’s propane specialists when deciding which programs to choose.
Forward Energy offers three delivery options: Will Call, Courtesy Fill and Tank Monitor service (yearly fee). You monitor the tank and call us when your tank is at 20%. We deliver the fuel within five business days. With Courtesy Fill, we monitor your tank and schedule deliveries for you. We do not charge delivery fees.
We also offer several energy programs for different payment and fuel pricing options. Our Capped Price, Pre-Buy, and Budget plans offer predetermined prices that do not change during the heating season. Our Market Price rate provides straightforward prices with no prepayments, but prices are subject to change throughout the season. There are no program or enrollment fees. We also offer multiple discounts: a quantity discount for deliveries over 1,000 gallons, 10 cents off per gallon with the Courtesy Fill program, and cash discounts when invoices are paid within five days of delivery.
Tank Set
If you do not already have a propane tank, you can choose to lease a tank. Tank size depends on how much propane you use to heat your home, run appliances, or use commercial or farm equipment. Propane tanks can be as small as 20 lbs or as large as 1,000 gallons. There is also the option to have your tank buried underground. These tanks are filled through a small dome above the ground. A propane expert from your supplier’s company can discuss tank logistics with you.
After you select your delivery and energy program, Forward Energy will call you to schedule a tank set. We do not charge tank set fees. If you already have a tank, we will set our tank next to the preexisting tank until it is low on fuel. We will then remove your tank and finish setting up the new tank. Our technicians will perform a Gas Safety Check after installation.
Home Delivery
The propane supplier can deliver directly to your tank when you need delivery services. Propane technicians have extensive training and vehicles to handle propane safely. Trimming shrubs, shoveling snow, and keeping pets inside can make deliveries easier.

Our technicians perform a safety check on our equipment before completing the delivery. Our technicians are trained to use proper installation techniques. We will monitor the tank while refilling to make sure that you are receiving the amount of fuel you ordered.
Maintenance Services
Some propane suppliers offer maintenance services for your propane equipment and tanks. Routine inspections help keep your propane-powered systems in working order. This enables you to avoid hazardous downtimes due to malfunctioning equipment. Forward Energy’s maintenance technicians are trained in propane equipment inspections. We are able to diagnose potential hazards and make repairs quickly.
